Inpatient Department – for patients who stays in hospital while receiving medical care, treatment or under observation. Currently we have Male Medical and Surgical wards, Pediatric ward, Female Medical, Surgical and Gyne wards, Labour ward and Postnatal ward. The total number of beds is 115.
OPD is located at the east side of the hospital. Services are offered to all outpatients from Rufunsa District and beyond. Services including medical, minor surgical procedures, obstetric and gynecology.
Facility operates 24hrs including weekends.
The Program is focused on ensuring that all women, newborns and children most in need have equitable access to quality health care services to save lives.
TB/HIV care department offers HIV testing services, ART services, TB screening, VMMC (Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision). Department operates from Monday to Friday between 08hrs and 16hrs, although ART patients can access the services even on weekends
The department that is responsible for the following:Assuring an adequate local public health infrastructure, promoting healthy in the communities and enforcing healthy behaviors, preventing the spread of communicable disease in the community before they reach the hospital, protecting against environmental health hazards, emergency preparing and response to all pandemics.
Gynecologic services are provided to our female patients at the hospital every day. Routine gynecologic evaluations are provided by a gynecologist whenever we have a gynecologist. We have a team of staff members comprised of doctors, clinical officers and nurses that are trained to provide cervical cancer. This visit to the department include counseling on general health and routine screening.
Physiotherapy Department – located in a separate building approximately 100 meters from the main Hospital, just opposite Nursing School. The department provides health promotion and prevention activities such as physical exercises and curative interventions and rehabilitation ranging from orthopedic conditions, neurological and respiratory. The department has a passive and an active room with basic equipment including ultrasound therapy, interferencial therapy, heat therapy and TENS.
Dental Department operates within OPD from Monday to Friday between 08 hrs and 16:30hrs.
Services offered are: restorative procedures (fillings), prophylactic procedures (scaling and polishing) and curative procedures (tooth extraction and minor surgery).

The aim of the Nutrition Centre offers practical dietary strategies to mothers who come to MCH. Information, education and counselling is done during the visits to all mothers. Children who malnourished are admitted and well taken care. The dietary information is given to all to reduce the risks of developing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer, and to ultimately to improve the quality of life.
Monitoring is the systematic and routine collection of information from all departments and programs. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is a continuous management function to assess if progress is made in achieving expected results, to spot bottlenecks in implementation and to highlight whether there are any unintended effects (positive or negative) from the departments.

Laundry Department collects soiled linen from various places in the hospital. Sorting the linen and processing them. Inspecting and repairing or replacing damaged materials. Distributing clean linen to the respective user departments.
Environmental Health Department operates within OPD. Specializes in preventing (indoor residue spraying for malaria control), promoting and protective services (health education, sanitation, water and food quality monitoring) provided to general public.
Social Welfare Department located at the main hospital. Services offered: follow up on discharged patients, grief relief on traumatized patients, linkage of patients to others social welfare services, general counseling, mobilization of resources for patients within the catchment area.
Eye Clinic located in OPD and operates from Monday to Friday between 08hrs and 16hrs.
Services offered: eye check up for the general public, refraction and cataract examination.
